View north from the Santa Justa Lift. The Convento da Ordem do Carmo is on the left of the frame, the gridiron of Baixa to the bottom right. The Elevador de Santa Justa, also known as the Elevador do Carmo [Carmo Lift], connects the lower streets of the Baixa with the higher Largo do Carmo and is the one surviving vertical lift in Lisbon of a pair built around the same period in the late 19th century.

A trip to Lisbon, Portugal to visit some of the buildings the city has to offer. This was my first time to the city, which I was visiting with other architecture students whilst studying for my masters degree.
